Last minute decision to try a first scramble in the Lakes. Turned out the car park was also the start/finish of a race a friend was doing. Beautiful blue skies and hot day to be out - too hot for running! Lovely approach hike and seeing the face a little daunting but scramble itself fine once underway. Met a pair who were about to turn round as their terrier was struggling. Swapped rucksacks so that he could be carried up in mine! Great views from the top. Very satisfying route - keen for more scrambling!
