⛷ Skiing
I'm lucky to have been skiing a few times and enjoyed it. I switched to snowboarding quite early. Some memories stand out (in reverse chronological order).
La Grave
The highlight of a week's skiing at Les Deux Alpes was a day at La Grave. We were in over our heads but had a gung-ho Italian guide and stayed on easy routes. One of the best days of my life.

Sheffield medics trip
A friend studying medicine at Sheffield wangled me on to a cheap student trip. The highlight was climbing a closed piste on foot for the best powder run of my life.
Whistler
After formative years of tuition in French it was odd to try an English speaking resort. This trip deserves its own tale one day if I can find the words.
School trip
Despite not being a good snowboarder I was put in a group with the skateboarders. They picked up snowboarding very quickly and I learnt the power of being in a group that forces you to up your game.
